The 2nd limited edition is out! Stubborn Cactus' is the new photobook by Delphine Bedel.
For one year, she document the botanical garden form the VU University in Amsterdam, that was planned to be destroyed in June 2014. This academic garden was part of the biology department of the university, it host a unique collection of 10.000 plants and the largest collection of cactus  in the Netherlands. Initiating various activities to bring attention to this situation together with a group of people,  the garden and its collection will now be preserved for another 8 years. The tile was inspired by some of he cactus quietly growing in every interstices of the glass house for the last 50 years.

Delphine Bedel is a photographer, lecturer, curator and publisher, working at the intersection of photography, design and publishing. Founder Meta/Books and Amsterdam Art/Book Fair. She regularly contributes to books and magazines and as international keynote speaker. Member of the Advisory Board of the Mondriaan Fondation and Member of the German Photography Academy (DFA). Her work is exhibited internationally and her awarded editorial work includes over 80 books. She serves as jury member and portfolio reviewer and leads (e)publishing workshops for art and design academies and cultural institutions. She is teaching at the Design Academy Eindhoven, MA Information Design (NL) and at the Piet Zwart Institute/ MA Media Design/Experimental Publishing. Currently PhD researcher at UCA/University of the Creative Arts, Farnham Campus (UK). Her thesis focuses on ‘Publishing as Artistic Practice – From Hard Copy to Software Culture’.
